One of our favourite local places to go for a walk is the cemetery, which is listed by English Heritage in the Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest as a grade II site. The Cemetery Lodge was built in 1848, the same year that the cemetery was consecrated. It has flint stone cladding and is a typically elegant Victorian small public building, now a private residence.
