Vegetarian burger shapes

This week we made vegetarian burger shapes. We made a vegetarian burger mix using sosmix (soon to be discontinued but I stocked up and have a cupboard full) and then, instead of making ordinary sausage or burger shapes, we used biscuit/cookie shape cutters to make heart and moon burgers. We also tried making stars and flowers but couldn't get them out of the shape cutters in one piece. The hearts and moons were successful though and this activity was a big hit with Sunnyboy who, like me, is a sosmix fan. We'll definitely try this again with other foods and other shapes too. Maybe we can make a whole meal out of shapes.

  1. Way cool! We are a vegetarian household so this might be a near lunchbox idea. Why do they always have to discontinue the cool stuff?

  4. Thats a cool idea! Turning cooking into a fun project probably makes the kids more likely to eat the results, too!
