Games with old calendars

This week we tried out another great activity idea from mama smiles and cut up an old calendar to make a matching game, matching the larger pictures with the smaller copies from the back of the calendar.

We also had another old calendar that didn't have smaller pictures so instead we cut the pictures in half to make a game of matching halves.

Sunnyboy enjoyed both these games and we're now hunting for more old calendars.

  1. I'm so glad sunnyboy enjoyed the matching game, and I really like your matching halves idea that you did with the calendar that didn't have little pictures!

  6. Oh what a great idea! My husband's grandma gets everyone a calendar every year. I tried telling her that as a couple, my husband and I do not need separate calendars. I only have space in the kitchen to hang one up. This is a great thing to do with our extra calendar!

  9. What a wonderful way to reuse calenders! Thanks for sharing. Depending on the age of the child you can match 2,4 parts or even make a puzzle- how awesome!

I hope to get back on the blog circuit soon. Only a few more months of demanding schoolwork left, then it is extern-ship and working in a pharmacy (is that chemist in England?)!

Have a wonderful week. Thanks again for linking.
