  1. Lovely shadows on the thorny cactus. These desert plants have a nice shape, although we need to be careful should we explore them up close...

    reminds us of a cartoon - which character was it - bouncing up and down through the cacti "ouch, oh, ouch, oh"

  7. OUCH...I have been too close to these prickly pears...it takes days to get all the lil' beggars out, but the beautiful yellow blooms make the suffering melt away...are ya staying cool...we feel spring on the horizon!

  12. Good shot! Were you sneaking around our place here in Phoenix getting this shadow shot?! I've got these fellows growing just outside my door. (I'm guessing if this was taken in the UK that they are in a covered botanical garden?)
