Lemonade with frozen strawberries
We've been spending lots of time in the garden enjoying the beautiful hot weather and a couple of weeks ago we decided to add some frozen fruit to lemonade to make a cool, refreshing, summer drink.
We added frozen strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and grapes. Sunnyboy noticed that most of the fruit floated but the grapes sank, so we talked about the density of solids in liquid. The frozen fruit was a colourful and delicious alternative to ice cubes,
and Sunnyboy loved it.
Since then we've had a big crop of fresh strawberries so we put half aside to freeze and use as strawberry ice cubes. These are some of them in a glass of cloudy lemonade.
