Not The Beach

Corner View is hosted by Spain Daily and we are invited to post pictures telling the stories of our different lives and cultures. This week's theme is The Beach, but our corner view is Not The Beach.

Although we hope to get to the beach soon it wasn't possible to get there this week. We did come across these footprints though. OK so they're not footprints in the sand but they are rather interesting because they're actually the top of an upside down sculpture. The rest of the sculpture is under the ground.

  11. Hmm . . .I am curious now as to what the rest of the sculpture looks like; i have to say that despite your not being close to the beach, your interpretation and composition really capture what one thinks of when thinking of the sand and ocean.

That is really awesome. Do you know the artist? I haven't seen the ocean since I was ten. My corner view is mountains on all sides. :) I'd love to see the ocean again. I hope you do too.

  15. Thanks for all your comments :) I don't know who the artist is, I'll have to try and find out. The footprints are in the courtyard outside a museum in our city.

  19. Very interesting sculpture!

I just had a look at your previous post. I can't tell you how much I love seeing a place for the children to play in the mud! That with other fun outside activities are almost lost treasures, these days.
