Sensory play with pasta

An activity that Sunnyboy always enjoys is playing with dried food such as pasta in a large tub. In the tub we also put utensils and household objects suitable for scooping, filling and pouring and we use objects made of different materials so he can make different sounds. Sometimes we add other objects and small toys, such as little toy insects and bugs, that Sunnyboy can dig out and cover with the pasta. We've done this activity with pasta, rice and oats but the possible variations are endless. Next we are going to try messy play with foods such as jelly (Jell-O), cooked spaghetti and porridge.
