Autumn leaves window display

Last week we started some autumn crafts, including an autumn window display. This week we added more autumn leaves to our window display.

We used transparent overhead projector sheets and paints suitable for glass and plastic. First I drew the outlines of the leaves in black paint and left it to dry. Then we both painted the leaves, sprinkled on some glitter while the paint was still wet and finally left the paintings to dry overnight.

On another sheet we painted a picture using autumn colours to complete our display.

We had some leftover paint so Sunnyboy drew some pictures to give as gifts and I traced them onto the transparent sheets for him to paint. He did a monster for Nozy,

and a heart for his Nana and Grandad.

We also traced a page from a colouring book to make a parrot picture for Duba.

For the leaf outlines we traced pictures from 'Autumn' by Ruth Thomson and Peter Millard.

If you have a post about an autumn craft or activity, or any post with an autumn theme, we'd love you to link up at our All Year Round Blog Carnival: Autumn, which is open for new links until December.
