Mother Nature in our corner of the world

Se'Lah from Necessary Room has asked " What's it like in your neck of the woods?". She's interested in how Mother Nature presents herself in different corners of the world. This afternoon we decided to go looking for Mother Nature at one of our favourite places to go for a walk. We headed off for an all-day vegetarian breakfast first,

and then we went to the cemetery.

Mother Nature was everywhere.

We didn't see any of the squirrels today but we saw birds,

and clouds,

and some big puddles.

There was lots of blossom,

and other flowers.

On the way home there were more things to see and do,

and back in our street Sunnyboy found a stick for his stick collection.

You can find out about the Mother Nature game at Se'Lah's Let's Play a Game post.

The Daily Groove: Beyond Right and Wrong

The Daily Groove from Scott Noelle today encourages us to look within to our Inner Guidance, something children do naturally. As a parent I am so fortunate and blessed to be given such a wonderful example in Sunnyboy, and to have the opportunity to create 'everyday miracles' with him.

THE DAILY GROOVE ~ by Scott Noelle

:: Beyond Right and Wrong ::

Children are born knowing that feeling good is more
important than being "right." They know their emotions
are their Inner Guidance, and they trust it.

So why do they sometimes rebel and seem to care
more about being right? One possibility is that you
may be telling them something that contradicts their
Inner Guidance.

For example, if you say "It's time to go," while their
Inner Guidance tells them to stay, they know you're
talking crazy talk!

If you say "You shouldn't touch that," while their
instinct is to explore, one of you is lying... and
it's not them!

You can end conflict and transcend right/wrong
thinking by tuning in to *your* Inner Guidance. Give
it some time... The heart is slower than the head, but
it's wiser, too.

If you go deep enough, you'll find the place where
your Guidance and their Guidance overlap -- the
common ground where everyday miracles are born.

Books and Maisy's Bus

This week's Unplugged Project is being hosted by Chronicle of an Infant Bibliophile and the theme is Books. One of Sunnyboy's all-time favourite book characters is Maisy Mouse (from the series of books by Lucy Cousins) and this week he bought a Maisy cuddly toy, so we decided to do a Maisy project.

First we went round the house and looked for Maisy things (all of these are secondhand).

Then we read Maisy books,

did Maisy puzzles,

watched Maisy videos,

and played Maisy games.

For Book Sharing Monday we chose a Maisy Mouse book called Maisy's Bus.

Snapshot Sunday in the garden

We took Snapshot Sunday outdoors again today.

Visit Sarah at The Napping House to play Snapshot Sunday and read an explanation here.

The other garden

Today we followed a chalk line that led out of the gate,

and we went for a walk in the other garden.
