I come to you via Journey Wildly, where the author is my oldest daughter. (Just thought I would get that in, I like to brag on her.) The discoveries on your walk have inspired me! There are two dead trees among the many other old and beautiful ones, in my front yard. I suggested to my husband that we should cut them down and plant lilac bushes in their place, but after seeing your post, maybe I will just carve into them! Thanks!
Oh totally amazing. Somebody has many talents with a wood chisel and steady hand. This is absolutely gorgeous. I would never find any woods to walk in here in Phoenix,so I will not be seeing any carvings around here. Maybe on a palm tree? Thanks for sharing. Country Hugs, Sherry
How wonderful! Thanks for including the link showing more photos in this place of reflection, but I'm still wondering just WHERE you were walking when you found these amazing carvings. Hugs and blessings,
Wow, that is incredible! I've always been amazed by sculpture... I can't even make a decent play-dough figure! :P It's so cool that these seem to be coming out of the trees... again, WOW!
How incredible. Some artist has chosen a nonstandard medium as his canvas. The pictures are terrific and sunny boy, even his backside, is as cute as ever.
Wow! Amazing... I adore how your little one *tentatively*goes to say hello to the squirrel... too sweet! Thank you for posting this on 'Friday's Nature Table'. Blessings and magic.
That's incredible, do you know who carved them? i have a face carved into one of my kitchen beams that is very similar to face in the tree. :) Love them, great post!
wow
