I'm delighted to have won a beautiful handmade *world peace* poster and set of floral postcards donated by Operation You in the recent *Gift of Jewels* giveaways at Necessary Room. My thanks also to A Mountain Mama who, following the previous *Gift of Jewels* project, sent us a sweet drawing by her daughter of 'Sunnyboy and the butterflies'. It was a lovely surprise and Sunnyboy was very pleased to receive it.
I would love to register, but I think reading this book would be much too hard for me. We're adopting, so we know our children won't have had affection as babies. Very, very sad but true. Whatever shape their brains are is fine with us, though. We'll love them regardless. I have a feeling that the hardest part about adopting will be not knowing the pain, neglect and abandonment they have gone through before joining our family.
