The number 6

A couple of weeks ago at our charity shop Sunnyboy noticed a house number on the bric-a-brac shelves and showed it to me saying "That looks like the number six." Since then we've been reading lots of books with numbers in and looking out for the number 6.

Kipper's Book of Counting by Mick Inkpen

'Six moles'

Hippos Go Berserk! by Sandra Boynton

'Six hippos show up with a guest.'

10 in the bed (a counting book) by David Ellwand

'There were 6 in the bed and the little one said, 'Roll over! Roll over! So they all rolled over and one fell out...'

One Moose, Twenty Mice by Clare Beaton

'Six ducks, but where's the cat?'

Nutty Numbers: A lift-the-flap book by Dr. Seuss

'and six clocks (with a fox in a box.)'
